The party found an abandon cave as they fled a skeleton horde. They were losing ground due to the children being unable to keep up. Although having a gnome and halfling didn't help either.
They barricaded themselves within the cabin. The party battled skeletons, berserker skeletons, and a creature known as the bloody bones. Bo nearly died in the combat. But he survived a strange encounter with a spirit that was separate from the horde. Bo wounded the spirit and it formed into a ball of shadow and entered him.
The party managed to battle back the undead and get the children to safety...for now.
